On 16/06/2021 the UTC invited its associated partners and the sustainable urban mobility stakeholders to discover one year of activity of the Urban Transports Community, its policy brief on soft mobility and its mentorship programme with eight Mediterranean cities. Besides, Tarja Richards, Director of Managing Authority INTERREG MED Programme, has shed some light on the future of the transnational cooperation framework in the Mediterranean area. 

The meeting has been an opportunity for collaboration, learning and networking, and for discussing the future perspectives of European funding in the region. Urban Transports Community’s key stakeholders have been informed about what the project can offer in terms of expert-based research, learning, networking and policy leveraging and about the project main achievements and outcomes.

Synergies have been among a diverse group of stakeholders, including local and regional authorities, urban planning agencies, European networks, NGOs, among others. Associated partners received first-hand information and exchange with peers on the future of European programs and funding opportunities targeting the MED region.
