The project LOCATIONS of the Urban Transports Community will take part in the Final Conference of the project Green Mind -28 & 29 January 2021, focused on mobility in touristic destinations: cruises and cities.

Mobility services and infrastructures are key assets in the tourism business. Planning and delivering sustainable mobility systems for tourists provide value to local businesses and touristic resources protection, foster accessibility to touristic sites and enhance territorial competitiveness.

This webinar involves policy makers, transport hubs and suppliers, tourism industries and research institutes, with the aim of sharing experiences and best practices to build sustainable and attractive mobility systems for tourists. This webinar also aims at identifying key themes for future regional and European projects.

The Green Mind Interreg Med project focuses on strengthening the innovation capacities in the green and smart mobility industry in the Mediterranean area and enhancing mobility systems for territorial competitiveness. The project aims at  and strengthening SMEs' economic competitiveness and innovation capacities in this field.

The project LOCATIONS, now concluded, contributed to decongest cruise destinations' traffic and to decrease greenhouse gases emissions in targeted territories through a larger use of innovative sustainable transport solutions, thus improving the overall quality of life of both citizens and passengers and increasing port attractiveness for cruise ships and cruise liners.
